To equip the church and parents to be disciple-making disciples of the kids of Resonate for the mission of God.


Executive Director


Discipleship - Disciple and equip parents to be the primary spiritual guides in the family. The emphasis of this role is primarily in discipling families as a whole and training and supporting parents as disciplers, beyond leading the children only. This person will also disciple kids ministry volunteer leaders, alongside the larger church discipleship groups, to grow in their maturity in faith and their ability to know Scripture, teach, and disciple children. Practically, this looks like running Resonate’s Sunday EchoKids program, meeting with, resourcing, and training parents and EchoKids volunteers, and developing supports and structures to best support discipleship within the family context.

Vision - Cast vision for Family Ministry that aligns with Resonate’s Mission that can be articulated by team leads and volunteers, as well as felt by the families of Resonate.  

Strategy - Design, implement and execute strategy aligning with mission and vision for the Family Ministry to achieve monthly goals and tasks created alongside Resonate staff (including volunteer staff, the executive leadership team, and lead pastor). Work alongside the elders and executive team to develop a long-term plan for equipping and empowering parents to lead their families, meet the needs of growing children, and manage challenges faced by church growth.

Collaboration - Work with other ministry area directors to create cross-collaborative activities or projects, such as weekly kids music on Sunday mornings or family involvement in global and local outreach on project basis. Work with team leads by delegating tasks to utilize team members’ strengths to accomplish monthly goals/tasks, as well as to meet spontaneous needs. Work to include the children in the larger body of Resonate as a whole.

Development - Create pathways for family ministry volunteers to grow to new levels of responsibilities, from the volunteer level to director role. Develop relationships with team leads and volunteers to know strengths and areas of opportunities for them to grow as a leader. Resource the team with tools for growth in core competencies by quarterly meeting and trainings, providing learning materials, and connecting mentorship partnerships.

Stewardship - Develop standards and structure to ensure that all classrooms are staffed appropriately with volunteers for Sunday Mornings and that any other event childcare is provided. Create annual budget for all Family Ministry needs, purchasing/expensing supplies, and faithfully stewarding the church’s resources. Ensure safety by knowing and enforcing all safety and security policies and procedures.

Creator - Generate new structure to meet the growing needs of the Church.

Teacher - Teach and train parents, volunteers, and children as part of family discipleship.

Program Management - Determine and run discipleship-oriented programs for families and children at Resonate.

Shepherding - Able to gently and Biblically counsel parents and children as needs arise.


Christian - Must be a professing Christian who adheres to Resonate’s statement of beliefs.

Deacon - Fulfill character qualifications of a deacon as taught in the Scriptures 1 Timothy 3:8-13.

Leader - Should be a self-starter, take independent initiative, and have good time management skills. He/she must be able to oversee a large volunteer team as well as manage logistical and relational aspects of the role. He/she must be a good delegator and train and support volunteers in their leadership roles.

Partner - Is a partner (member) or willing to become a partner of Resonate church.

Communicator - Must be able to clearly communicate vision and strategy amongst all levels of the church, from Sundays to DNA groups. Organizational and administrative strengths are necessary in communication and task execution.

Peacemaker - Tactfully and winsomely unite people with varying perspectives to advance harmony and love and to achieve common goals


Education - college degree in related field preferred

Experience - 3-5 years experience in children’s ministry environment

Background - must pass criminal background check


This is a part-time hourly position with an expected 15-20 hours/week. Sundays are a required work day and the other days/times can be negotiated, with some nights and weekends. This position is a partial work-from-home position, but will require meetings at Resonate and off site locations.
